A shared vocabulary for better slides

“Use a clean two-column slide” should mean the same thing to the author, editor and exporter.

The shared OPF catalog supplies named layouts, themes, color schemes, font schemes and narrative choices. The current layout collection has 28 intent templates. Use a name rather than recreating its settings in every deck.

A browser host registers the catalog it uses; Node tools include the default catalog. Before handing the source to another environment, embed the records it needs:

opf embed deck.opf.json portable.opf.json

Why it matters: teams start from reusable decisions rather than a blank canvas. Embedding the chosen records makes the source portable when the recipient does not have the same catalog registered.
